An Evening with Michael Zinn
“A Child of Holocaust Survivors:
Finding Christ in the Midst of Unspeakable Suffering“
This year’s “Know What’s Below. Come Ready to Dig.” event provides a unique opportunity to hear Michael Zinn, National Director of Chosen People Ministries in Israel.
Born to a Jewish family of Holocaust survivors, Michael moved to Israel with his wife, Natalie, in 1989. In addition to serving as National Director of Chosen People Ministries, he is a Dean at Israel College of the Bible and a pastor in Tel-Aviv. Michael has earned degrees from the Ukrainian University (CEng), Hebrew University (BA), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MA).

While this event is free of charge, our seating is limited. Thus, registration is required to ensure an available seat at this dessert reception. Adults and teenagers are most welcomed to attend this event.

2021 – Dr. Andrew Brunson
“Prepared to Stand”
Andrew and his wife, Norine, were involved in starting churches, training believers, aiding refugees, and a house of prayer in Turkey for twenty-three years until being falsely accused of terrorism in October 2016. After this, Andrew was held for two years in Turkish prisons. Due to a worldwide prayer movement and significant political pressure from the US government, he was finally sentenced to time served and dramatically released in October 2018. Since his release, Dr. Brunson has authored God’s Hostage: A True Story of Persecution, Imprisonment, and Perseverance; and has been speaking worldwide on the topics of courage, perseverance, and persecution.

2019 – Dr. Robert B. Chisholm
“The Fear of the Lord: The Foundation of Genuine Wisdom”
Department Chair and Senior Professor of Old Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas. Bob is the author of numerous books and publications, including Interpreting the Historical Books and Handbook on the Prophets. He also serves as senior Old Testament editor for the NET Bible.

2018 – Dr. Michael J. Thigpen
“The Storm of the Lord: Jeremiah’s Window into the Heart of God”
Associate Professor of Old Testament and Semitics at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University; and Executive Director of the Evangelical Theological Society. Mike is author of numerous publications, including Divine Motive in the Old Testament.

2017 – Dr. Gary Yates
“Wrathful God or loving Savior . . . reconciling the God of the Old and New Testaments.”
Professor of Biblical Studies/Old Testament and Director of the Masters of Theology program at Liberty University School of Divinity in Lynchburg, Virginia, Gary is author of numerous books and publications, including Message of the Twelve: Listening to the Voices of the Minor Prophets and The Essence of the Old Testament: A Survey.

2016 – Dr. Daniel Wallace
“Is What We Have Now What They Wrote Then? An Examination of the reliability of the text of the New Testament.”
World-renowned Bible scholar and prolific author, Dr. Wallace serves as Senior Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and Executive Director of the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts. He was also the President of the Evangelical Theological Society in 2016.
