Movie Star to WWF Wrestler: Why Do I Still Struggle with Sin?

Presented by Dr. David Hoffeditz

Many of believers have echoed at one point or another Paul’s words in Romans 7: “For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I do not do what I want — instead I do what I hate. . . . For I do not do the good I want, but I do the very evil I do not want!” If we have died to sin and have been set free in Christ, why do we still struggle with sin? Did the Lord expect this condition to be the norm for a believer? If not, then what are the secrets to victorious Christian living? This morning’s study will attempt to answer these questions.

The “going,” “teaching,” and “baptizing” are all actions which stem from this command to “make disciples.” But what exactly is discipleship? What is the biblical understanding of this term? And what exactly does discipleship entail? This morning we will briefly look to answer these questions.
